One the world’s premier entertainment venues, the Dolby Theatre features the latest innovations in entertainment technology as well as breakthrough audio technology and sensory natural life experiences. It has an expansive seating capacity of 3,400 and has hosted some of the world’s biggest movie premieres, events, and performances.

Located in the heart of Hollywood in California, the Dolby Theatre has hosted notable television award events like the BET Awards, the Academy Awards,the Daytime Emmy Awards, the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award for Tom Hanks, and the American Idol finals, among others. The expansive area offers unique architectural and historical exhibits of some of the Oscars’ biggest nights. Having hosted some of the world’s best performers, the theatre itself has been inspired by the glamor and the elegance of the Golden Age of Hollywood, as attested to by the stunning architectural and decorative features of the interior, such as Cherrywood finishes and portraits of past Academy Award recipients.

Schedule and Tickets

Visitors may enter the Dolby Theatre every day from 10:30am to 4:00pm. Guided tours are offered every day;these depart every 30 minutes.

Tickets range from $18 for youths to $23 for adults. Groups can make special reservations for groups of 15 or more. Parking is available at a fee of$2 to a maximum of $15.

Theatre policies

To attend a performance, visitors have to be there an hour prior to the performance and be seated 30 minutes before the start to avoid missing out as it is always congested. There are ushers available to direct visitors through the amenities.

You are allowed to use your personal phone but this should be switched to silent to avoid disrupting the show. Taking photos or videos during a performance is prohibited.

Food and beverages are available at the facility, including soft drinks and beers. Security is monitored throughout the building and a thorough check is conducted before admission.
