Comal is a popular gathering eatery that offers modern forms of handmade Mexican cuisine and a full bar in its covered dining space and al fresco beer patio. Comal is housed in a single-story historical construction built of board-formed concrete and estimated to be built during the late 1920s. The building offers indoor dining space and an outdoor beer garden while the structure's rear patio serves as the restaurant's full bar.
Comal focuses on offering Mexican cuisine with a modern touch. The restaurant's cuisines are based on what is popularly found in various parts of Mexico and the menu places a special emphasis on food varieties from Oaxaca, a southern state of Mexico, and several other coastal regions located in the neighborhood of Oaxaca.

Comal is open 7 days a week, Sunday through Thursday from 5:30pm to 10:00pm and on Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant is open from 5:30pm to 11:00pm. Comal's front bar is open for drinks at 5:00pm every day.
· Dinner - An assorted variety of Mexican street snacks, soup, empanadas, quesadillas, enchiladas, tamales, tacos, memelas, and platos fuertes from the wood grill like spit-roasted whole chicken, roasted turkey, and bone-in twenty-two-ounce ribeye, which is suitable for 2-3 people.
· Drinks - cocktails, tequila, mezcal, tequila and mezcal flights, wine on tap, sparkling wine, rosé, white, and red wines, draft beer, bottled beer, and sherry
· Desserts - Comal's dessert menu offers Mexican desserts like arroz con leche, Oaxacan chocolate budin, Three Twins ice creams, Mexican coffee, café de olla, Teance Hot Tea, Thanksgiving Coffee Company Coffee, and flan tradicional.
Comal offers two types of group dining options depending on the number of people in a group. For groups consisting of 8 to 10 people, the restaurant's community table option 'Table 30' is offered along with a fixed price dinner. The 'Abajo', a downstairs dining room, is offered for groups consisting of 12 to 22 guests. The Abajo is accompanied with a family-styled menu option.
Comal accepts limited reservations for parties consisting of 1 to 7 people who can be seated at 5:30pm every night. Once the reservation time slots for 5:30pm have ended, guests are seated on a first-come first-serve basis. All reservations to dine at Comal are to be made by calling the restaurant.
Comal's personalized gift card prices range from $20 to $250 and can be purchased on the restaurant's website via OpenTable. The online purchase option lets the buyer to send the card directly to the gift recipient. E-gift cards can be sent via email and the physical card can be sent to the receiver's address via post.
