The city of Corona, California offers a great destination for any time of the year, boasting hot summers, warm winters, and a variety of attractions. Formerly recognized as the world’s “Lemon Capital,” the city features hundreds of acres of parks, great restaurants, kart racing, ziplining, and much more. For those who enjoy some fine dining and shopping, the Shops at Dos Lagos are a great place to spend a few hours. Corona is even home to the Koroneburg Renaissance, an Old World Renaissance Festival.

1.Corona Heritage Park and Museum

The buildings that are located at the Corona Heritage Park and Museum were originally constructed during the early 1900’s, housing a railroad museum, special center, and art gallery over the years. The park features many different things, including nature, historic awareness, field trips, classes, gardening, cultural events, exercise program, receptions, weddings, and much more. It is also home to California’s biggest single lemon ranch with two thousand acres of lemon groves. The museum is open from 10:00am until 2:00pm Tuesday through Saturday. Visitors can take a variety of different tours of the site at no cost by appointment.

2.Skull Canyon Zipline

Skull Canyon Zipline stretches across 160 acres and is situated just minutes away from Interstate 15. Four different zipline courses are available for guests to choose from by reservation only. The Original Course is the most popular and kid-friendly, featuring a ten-minute hike, six ziplines with a length of more than 2,800 feet and eighty feet above the ground. The Extreme Course features five ziplines 200 feet above in the sky and more than 6,100 feet long. The Monster Course is comprised of seven ziplines at 300 feet and over 9,100 feet in length.

3.Corona Art Gallery

The Corona Art Association promotes are in the Corona community and provides people with the opportunity to learn more about visual arts, improve creative skills through demonstrations and classes, and view art in community events and art shows. It aims to develop and encourage appreciation and study of the arts. The Corona Art Gallery, housed within the Historic Civic Center, hosts at least seven art exhibitions each year, and serves as an excellent starting point for several artists from the local area. Visitors can explore the gallery with no admission charge Thursday through Sunday, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.

4.Pole Position Raceway

The Pole Position Raceway is welcoming to people of all levels of experience with racing, from private groups to walk-in racers. The raceway offers indoor karting within a climate-controlled environment, without all of the bad smelling fumes. As one of the leading motorsports entertainment venues in the area, Pole Position offers a great experience to get the adrenaline pumping in both visitors and locals alike. The Shops at Dos Lagos offers a little something for everyone visiting the Corona, California area, whether they are looking for some great shopping, wanting to grab some good food, or just want to have some fun. The outdoor shopping destination boasts over sixty different retail shops, as well as a movie theater, several restaurants, and amphitheater, and a few other attractions. There are also two scenic lakes, a bamboo bridge, and a plaza and plenty of seating. For those who don’t care to shop, premium restaurants offer a delicious meal and there are often concerts at the Shops at Dos Lagos.

6.Koroneburg Renaissance

The Koroneburg Renaissance Festival in Corona is one of just a few permanently built Renaissance fairs located within Southern California, and is one of the area’s most interactive Renaissance experiences. There is plenty of activities to enjoy and many chances to learn about German history from 1450 to 1600, including feasts, sword fights, jousts, archery competitions, shops, period games, and so much more. Koroneburg Renaissance is an Old World European Renaissance Festival, rather than an English one. At the center of the Renaissance Festival is a themed sit-down restaurant offering fine dining and a full bar.

7.Dos Lagos Golf Course

The Dos Lagos Golf Course is part of the 534-acre Dos Lagos development for mixed use and is one of the premier golf courses for public play in Corona, California and the surrounding area. The course was designed by famed golf course architect Matthew E. Dye, and is a par 70 course with 6,544 yards featuring four different sets of tees. The 18-hole course is both enjoyable and challenging, featuring sand traps and water hazards, and offers a great golfing experience for golfers of any skill level. There is also a good view of the Cleveland National Forest.
