Clovis is located 6.5 miles northeast of downtown Fresno. Clovis offers a variety of attractions and activities, from shopping and dining out to outdoor recreation and entertainment for the whole family. The city boasts over 13 miles of paved pedestrian hiking and biking trails as well as several green urban parks with playgrounds for children and grassy lawns for picnicking and relaxing.

Sierra National Forest is a U.S. National Forest located on the western slope of central Sierra Nevada in Central California. Bordered by the Kings Canyon National Park on the south and Yosemite National Park on the northwest, the Sierra National Forest spans more than 1,300,000 acres with altitudes ranging from 900 to 13,986 feet in elevation. Renowned for its incredible natural resources and breathtaking mountain scenery, the terrain includes undulating oak-covered foothills, densely forested middle slopes and tundra landscape of the High Sierra. Located in Clovis at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Fresno, Wild Water Adventure Park is a 52-acre family-owned and operated water park with a range of water-based fun activities for children of all ages and their families. The park opened to the public in 1974 and has been providing water-fun for more than 44 years with swimming pools, water slides and rides, fast rides and more. Located on 52 shady acres of grassy grounds, the water park is home to the largest kiddie pool in California, along with 20 attractions and 38 different kinds of water slides, private cabanas throughout the park that can be rented, tree-lined grass areas, fishing lakes, sports fields, and barbeque areas.

The Clovis Botanical Garden is a beautifully maintained three-acre water-wise demonstration garden featuring a variety of drought-resistant plants and cacti that thrive in the hot summers and cold winters of California’s Central Valley and a modern information center that offers guided garden tours. Founded by Gordon Russell in 1993, the Clovis Botanical Garden is bordered by Dry Creek Trail and Dry Creek Park and sustained by the community and maintained by dedicated volunteers. The Clovis Botanical Garden is open Wednesday through Sundays at various hours and has an information center and gift shop that are open to the public during garden hours.
