The Fountain of Life is a stunning space filled with water fountains and sculptures which were carved by artisans who have a family history of sculpting stone and designed and decorated by artist Jennifer Johnson and architect Reuel Young. The fountain pieces were cut out of adoquin stone which were brought in from a quarry in Guadalajara. You’ll be able to see sculptures of wildflowers, shells, birds, lizards, fishes, and much more, all of which represent various aspects of Anglo and Latino cultures which have influenced the area. It’s a lovely place to relax, meditate, and unwind during your visit to Cathedral City.
2.Frank Sinatra Gravesite

Having sold over 150 million records worldwide, Frank Sinatra was one of the most influential musicians, actors, and producers of the 20th century. When he died at the age of 82 in 1998, he was buried in Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City along with a pack of Camel cigarettes and a bottle of Jack Daniels. Fans and visitors come from all over the nation to stop and pay their respects to the legend. You’ll be able to see his gravestone, which is carved with the lyrics “The best is yet to come.” from one of his classic songs. Other famous people who were laid to rest at Desert Memorial include songwriter Jimmy Van Heusen and artist Sonny Bono.

3.Big League Dreams

Big League Dreams is a sportsman’s dream come true, especially if they’ve ever dreamt of playing in a major league stadium. The center comprises a 20,000 square foot indoor soccer pavilion, several replica fields, batting cages, flag football fields, and so much more. Their replica stadiums are scaled down versions of renowned sites such as New York’s Yankee Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field, and Boston’s Fenway Park. You can experience the big leagues with one of the adult leagues, tournaments, and special events as a player or as a spectator in their stadium-style seating. Afterwards, head to one their Stadium Club restaurants to feast on your favorite foods and drinks.

4.Desert Ice Castle

Desert Ice Castle is a public skating rink which is a fun place for the entire family to spend the day showing off their moves on the ice. Public skating sessions are open to the public at certain points throughout the week, where you can enjoy your rounds listening to music and having fun with your friends. Little ones love joining the Desert Ice Castle Skating School to learn ice skating, figure skating, and much more. Every Friday night is Ice Skating Under the Lights night and is a fun place to meet new people, while their Adult Hockey Leagues meets twice a week and has many tournaments throughout the season.

5.Town Square Park

Home to the famed, award-winning Fountain of Life structure, Town Square Park is a space filled with artistic beauty. In addition to the interactive fountain, there’s tons of public art for you to enjoy, lush landscaping you can picnic in, a rose garden to explore, and several shaded structures with benches and seating for public gatherings. There’re tons of events held at the park throughout the year; some of which bring residents and visitors together for a fun-filled time include the Easter Kidapalooza, Easter Fallfest, and the annual Snowfest, complete with tree lighting ceremony and light parade.

Spanning over 7½ acres, Panorama Park is the oldest and largest park of its kind in Cathedral City. Nestled into a safe, family-friendly neighborhood, the park was established in the 1960s and is filled with amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Little ones can spend the day cooling off in the turtle spray pool or playing in one of two tot lots fitted with age-appropriate toys. Other aspects include a basketball court, two tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, and a softball field. There are several benches along the play areas for spectators to hang out in.
