Mount Lowe Railway Trail is a moderate to difficult loop trail in Altadena, California which spans nearly ten miles. It is accessible all year long and will take you through picturesque vistas of your surroundings; you’ll be able to take some amazing photographs of the beautiful wild flowers and deep canyons during your adventure. The trail is pet friendly, has several activities along the way which you can participate in, and is perfect for hiking, mountain biking, trail running, nature trips, bird watching, and wildlife observation. The fascinating historic railway are the ruins of the Mount Lowe Railway, which has a unique and interesting history in Altadena.
2.The Bunny Museum

Housed in one of Altadena’s mid-century buildings, the Bunny Museum is a Guinness world-record holding institute that is dedicated to rabbits. It opened to the public in 1998, though its roots go back much further; the founding couple started this collection after beginning a tradition to give each other new bunny gifts every day. There are over 33,000 bunny-related items and artifacts for you to see in their ever-expanding collection. These include stuffed bunnies, ceramic bunnies, cookie-jar bunnies, and even nine Rose Parade float bunnies. One of the strangest exhibits might be that of freeze-dried bunnies which can be seen in a glass display case.

3.Echo Mountain Hiking Trails

Echo Mountain Hiking Trails is easy to follow, offers great views, and has an interesting history. You’ll start up the Sam Merrill Trail and on to the old Mt. Lowe Railway route all the way to Echo Mountain. Once you’re there, you’ll come across the remains of Echo Mountain resort, which is an interesting structure to see. You’ll get a good workout on the trail which has a distance of 5.4 miles and elevates approximately 3,207 feet. The hike has been named one of the “ten great North American hikes” by USA Today, and rightly so as it’s filled with flora, fauna, scenic viewpoints, and picturesque vistas for you to enjoy.
