The Fralin Museum of Art is located in the Thomas H. Bayly Building on Rugby Road at the University of Virginia and is open Tuesday through Sunday with free admission to the public. Parking is available on Bayly Drive, directly behind the Museum, and on Rugby Road in the A6 lot next to Madison Bowl, and the Museum is fully accessible to individuals with disabilities.
The Fralin Museum of Art offers interactive docent-led tours to groups of all ages, which explore the works on view and encourage dialogue about them. Tours are led by graduate art students, Museum staff and curators and tours can be pre-arranged to provide more information and historical context on certain exhibitions and works if required. Tours at the Fralin include Writer's Eye Tours, special K–12 student and school group tours, community group tours, and university course visits.Saturday Special Tours are held on the last Saturday of each month and involve informal presentations on aspects of the Museum's current collections and special exhibitions. Special lectures and guest talks also take place throughout the year at the Museum, the dates of which can be checked on the website.
