An Open Air Kiosk area features a cafe serving light fare, ice cream, and beverages, and a picnic seating area showcases several water fountains. The aquarium also offers a small playground area for young children, with seating nearby for families offering safe supervision. All aquarium visitors are advised to wear sunscreen and mosquito repellent depending on weather conditions, as some exhibit areas are located outside the main aquarium building. The aquarium is fully accessible for visitors with mobility concerns and parents with strollers.

Seasonal hours vary, but the aquarium is generally open throughout the late morning, afternoon, and early evening hours. Ticket rates are offered for adults, children, and seniors, with infants admitted free with paying adult guardian. The aquarium is located on Cavo Greco Avenue in Protaras, near the Ayia Triada roundabout. It is accessible via several Cyprus public transit bus routes, including OSEA 101, 102, and 711. A free parking area near the aquarium is also offered for all visitors.
Ongoing Programs and Education
In addition to standard aquarium admission, group rates are offered for small groups and organizations with 10 or more participants, including curriculum-incorporated field trip opportunities for school groups. Group packages are also available for camp and scouting groups, childcare centers, and community organizations such as church groups and sporting teams. All groups must contact the aquarium directly in advance of desired visit date in order to secure group ticket rates and tour guides. Birthday party packages are offered for young visitors wishing to celebrate their birthdays at the aquarium, with private party time and exploration of the museum’s animal exhibits offered with all packages. The aquarium may also be rented for private special events, including weddings and corporate events.
Protaras Ocean Aquarium offers an Adopt An Animal animal adoption program to individuals and organizations throughout the Cyprus region, which are recommended as unique gifts for holidays and commemorative special occasions. Visitors may become “zoo parents” to one of the aquarium’s animals, with donations contributing toward animal care and feeding for a full calendar year. Though animals remain in the care of the aquarium, Adopt An Animal participants receive certificates and updates on the animal’s condition at the aquarium.
