Zeitz MOCAA, or the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, is a contemporary art museum that accumulates, preserves, studies, and displays 21st century art from Africa. There are over 100 galleries of temporary and permanent exhibits spread over the nine-story structure. The LGBTQI+ exhibit is one of the most visited projects and investigates the issue of homophobia and the oppression of gay rights in South Africa. Other exhibits include Now and Then by El Loko and Kyle Morland, Yinka Shonibare’s Dusthouse, and Regarding the Ease of Others by Zimbabwe artist Kudzanai Chiurai.
