January is the second to the coldest month of the year in Hamilton, Bermuda with the average low temperatures at 63°F (17°C) and the average high temperatures at 70°F (21°C).

In February, however, Bermuda gets its coldest temperatures of the year as the average low temperature sinks to 61°F (16°C). The average high temperature also sees a decrease and falls to 68°F (20°C).

March sees temperatures the high temperature average rising back to 70°F (21°C). On the other hand, the low temperature average remains the same at 61°F (16°C). Visitors to Hamilton during this month can expect some frequent showers with the average precipitation rate at 140 mm.

In May, Hamilton sees its lowest precipitation average of the year with only 70 mm of expected rainfall. The average high temperature gets a considerable bump up to 77°F (25°C) while the average low temperature sees a nearly equal increase at 68°F (20°C).

June brings even warmer temperature with the high temperature average climbing to 82°F (28°C). The low temperature average gets a 5-degree bump up to 73°F (23°C).

In July, precipitation average increase to 150 mm. Rising alongside the expected rainfall are both the average high and average low temperature, which measure at 86°F (30°C) and 79°F (26°C) respectively.

September brings just a bit of respite from the heat to Hamilton. Both the average high and average low temperatures decrease by 2 degrees to 86°F (30°C) and 79°F (26°C).

In October, Hamilton receives the most rainfall out of the year with the precipitation average at 200 mm. The low and high temperature averages decrease to a range of 73°F (23°C) to 81°F (27°C).

November brings much cooler weather with the average high temperature at 75°F (24°C). The average low temperature is at 68°F (20°C).

Hamilton Weather in December: Rainfall is moderately in December with about 120 mm of rain to be expected. The high temperature average sees a 3-degree decrease to 72°F (22°C) while the low temperature average drops by 4 degrees to 64°F (18°C).

The L.F. Wade International Airport is the name of the airport that serves Hamilton and the rest of Bermuda. It is located about seven miles north of Hamilton. Many airlines provide flights from the East Coast because it’s only a two hour flight; from Toronto it’s three hours; and from London it’s seven hours. To get from the airport into Hamilton there are public buses that leave every 15 minutes, taxis, and pre-arranged mini-buses and limousine companies. There are several ways to get around Hamilton. One of the best ways is by using the public bus system. There are routes that pass by attractions and points of interest; some of the buses go to the outer neighborhoods of Hamilton. The buses are color-coded so it’s easy to find which bus you need. The fares are based on a zone system. Taxis are expensive so avoid using this form of transportation if you can. Many tourists enjoy riding around on mopeds and scooters. This is a far less expensive way to get around and you don’t need to worry about dealing with traffic congestion.

Hamilton offers a wide variety of restaurants as well as a wide range of cuisine. Fish and seafood are very popular as they are the only foods that don’t have to be imported. Eating in Hamilton is generally more expensive than eating in Canada or the United States because of the need to import so much of the food. Bermuda rockfish is popular and is often caught and served on the same day. Some of the upscale restaurants include Cafe Lido, Harley’s Terrace, the Ocean Club, and The Point. Hamilton is a popular place to get married because of its beauty and its charm. It’s relatively easy to go through the three step process of getting the proper documentation: you need a Notice of Intended Marriage which should be sent to the Registrar General in the Government Administration Building in Hamilton; you choose your wedding location; and you make sure you have two witnesses. The Fairmont Hamilton Princess is the oldest luxury hotel on Bermuda: it includes a 400 foot veranda that overlooks the natural harbor. The Rosedon is a beautifully restored colonial inn built in 1906. Tucker’s Point is a resort with a spa, an infinity pool, and one of the best restaurants on Bermuda. Granaway’s Guest House is a manor house built in 1734: this is an affordable option for visitors who do not need to be close to the beach. There are many other charming guest houses and cottages.
