Branson Weather in January: It’s a cold winter for Branson in January with a bone-chilling average low temperature of 22°F (-6°C). The average high temperature is also quite frigid at 42°F (6°C) making this the coldest month of the year.

February remains rather cold despite the general increase in temperatures. The high temperature averages and low temperature averages measure in at 47°F (8°C) and 26°F (-3°C) respectively.

In March the average high temperature sees a nearly 10-degree increase to 56°F (13°C). Meanwhile, the average low temperature makes a significant jump to 34°F (1°C).

Branson Weather in April: Spring deepens in April and bring along with it mild but warmer temperatures. The average high temperature is 68°F (20°C) while the average low temperature is 45°F (7°C). It’s a great time of the year to go hiking thanks to the cool but manageable temperatures.

May sees high temperatures in the mid-70’s as the last month of spring. Low temperatures measure in at 54°F (12°C).

If you arrive by airplane you will fly into one of two airports: the new Branson Airport just 10 miles south of the city, or the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport located about 50 miles north of Branson. The closest train station is in Walnut Ridge, AR: it is 186 miles southeast of Branson. If you like to travel by train you will need to find transportation from Walnut Ridge to Branson. Arriving by car you will take U.S. Route 65 from the north where it merges with Interstate 44 at Springfield. Greyhound runs buses to Branson from cities all over the country. The bus terminal is on South Bus 65.

Branson is served by two airports: the Branson Airport and the Springfield-Branson Airport and they each offer several ways to get into the city. At the Branson Airport there are car rental agencies in addition to shared ride shuttles, limousines, and taxis. The Gray Line Airport Shuttle takes visitors from the airport to hotels in Branson. MLB Shuttle Service is another choice at this airport. Choices to get into Branson from the Springfield-Branson Airport are more limited. There are no buses or shuttles that go from the airport into Branson. There are several rental car agencies as well as taxi and limousine companies.

Branson does not have any form of public transportation: there are no local city buses or trolley services. There are taxis if you need this form of transportation: the staff at the front desk of your hotel will be happy to call a taxi for you. In addition to taxis there are shuttles that can take you from your hotel to any of the attractions, shows, or shopping areas. These shuttle companies charge affordable rates. If you drive to Branson, or if you rent a car at either of the two airports that serve the city, you will easily be able to get around Branson.

Most of the restaurants in Branson are geared toward families and their dining needs. There are brand chains, fast food places, buffets, seafood restaurants, steakhouses, and breakfast restaurants. One of the popular restaurants in Branson Landing is called the White River Fish House. This is a floating restaurant that serves steak, sandwiches, and, of course, seafood and fish.
