Steeped in history, The Lodge at Glendorn is a luxury resort designed in the style of the grand family camps of old. Surrounded by 1,500 acres bordering the Allegheny National Forest in Bradford in northwest Pennsylvania, the deluxe resort is offers individually designed and decorated accommodations, award-winning cuisine, and an array of family-friendly activities for every season.

Built in 1929 by Clayton Glenville Dorn to serve as a luxury weekend getaway “family camp” for his growing family, The Lodge at Glendorn has a main lodge housed in a quaint redwood house with luxurious guest rooms and suites and 12 beautifully appointed cabins. The pristine landscapes and lakes around the lodge offer all-season activities such as swimming, fishing, canoeing and pedal boating, mountain biking, skeet- and trap-shooting and cross-country skiing.

The Lodge at Glendorn features comfortable accommodations in the form of guest rooms and suites in the main lodge building and 12 separate cabins in the surrounding forest. Constructed in the mid-1900s, cabins can accommodate up to 12 people and have full kitchens, whirlpool tubs, and outdoor decks with campfire pits, while rustic-chic rooms and suites have luxury antique furnishings and wood-burning fireplaces. All accommodations enjoy modern amenities, including flat-screen televisions with cable channels, CD players, iron and ironing boards, hairdryers, fine monogrammed linens, towels and luxurious Molton Brown bath products. Guest services include twice daily housekeeping and a nightly turndown service, complimentary bottled water, a variety of refreshments and Glendorn’s freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.

The Lodge’s main lodge accommodations feature four distinct guest rooms and suites. Located on the second floor of the main lodge, The Balcony Room features a king-sized bed with luxurious linens and an en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub, monogrammed towels and luxurious Molton Brown bath products. Modern amenities include a flat-screen television with cable channels, CD player, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, complimentary bottled water, and a variety of refreshments and Glendorn’s freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. This delightful room overlooks the front lawn and babbling Fuller Brook and is ideally located within easy reach of all the hotel amenities.

Named for the warm redwood paneling and beautifully carved sunburst on the ceiling, the Redwood Room is located on the main floor of the lodge and features a king-sized bed with luxurious linens and an en-suite bathroom with shower, bathtub, monogrammed towels and luxurious Molton Brown bath products. Modern amenities include a flat-screen television with cable channels, CD player, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, complimentary bottled water, and a variety of refreshments and Glendorn’s freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. The three-room Dorn Suite features a master bedroom with a king-size bed dressed in luxurious linens and an en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub, monogrammed towels and luxurious Molton Brown bath products. The suite also features a spacious living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a sunny porch overlooking the pristine front lawn and babbling Fuller Brook. Modern amenities include a flat-screen television with cable channels, CD player, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, complimentary bottled water, and a variety of refreshments and Glendorn’s freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.

Located on the first floor of the lodge, the Green Suite enjoys a private entrance and side terrace that overlooks the lodge’s front lawn and beautiful Fuller Brook. The suite’s bedroom features a master bedroom with a king-size bed dressed in luxurious linens and a corner wood-burning fireplace decorated with 18th - century Dutch tiles. An en-suite bathroom has a separate shower, and bathtub, monogrammed towels and luxurious Molton Brown bath products and a lovely spacious sitting room are flooded with natural light.

The Lodge has 12 individually decorated stand-alone cabins that were constructed in the 1930s and 1940s and feature comfortable furnishings, cozy fireplaces and outdoor decks with splendid views.

John’s Cabin is a four bedroom, four bath cabin that can accommodate up to eight guests, making it an ideal family-friendly getaway. The master bedroom has a separate entrance, a king-size bed dressed in luxurious linens, a wood-burning fireplace, and large en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. The remaining three bedrooms have king-size beds, two of which can be turned into twin beds and three bathrooms that feature showers and baths, plush towels, and luxurious Molton Brown bath products. The cabin also has a large spacious living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a small fully equipped kitchen, and an outdoor porch is home to a sleeping swing and offers beautiful views over Skipper Lake.

Dating back to 1927, Miller Cabin is the oldest cabin on the resort, can accommodate up to three guests and is pet-friendly. The lovely log-and-plank-sided cabin features a chestnut-paneled king-size bedroom with a wood-burning fireplace and an en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub, monogrammed towels and luxurious Molton Brown bath products. A spacious living room has a pull-out sofa bed for extra guests, a wood-burning fireplace, and a second bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub and a private porch has original Old Hickory furniture and beautiful views over the Fuller Brook stream.

Jill’s Cabin is a two-bedroom, pet-friendly cabin that can accommodate up to four guests and features a bright, pine-paneled living area and dining room with wood-burning fireplace and a wet bar for entertainment. The chestnut-paneled master bedroom has a king-sized bed with luxurious linens and an en-suite bathroom with shower, bathtub, monogrammed towels and luxurious Molton Brown bath products. The second bedroom, once an artist’s studio, is bright and airy with a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath and its own private entrance.

The Overlook is a romantic pet-friendly cottage that accommodates up to two guests and has an expansive deck with gorgeous views over the property.
