Nick's on Broadway in Providence has a rich history that dates back to 1969 with the original owner Nick Sammartino. In 2002, a frequent patron of Nick’s by the name of Derek took over the restaurant after the original owner declared that he was ready to retire. Since then, Derek’s passion for food and for creating a sense of community are transferred into how he manages his restaurant as well as in the efforts he takes to create a menu that is made with food that is grown and sourced locally and served with warm hospitality.

Reservations

Reservations can be placed at Nick's on Broadway by calling the restaurant directly at (401) 421-0286. Reservations are accepted for dinner service only. Reservations are not accepted for brunch. When booking a reservation for parties of six or more people, a credit card will be required to secure the reservation.

Nick's on Broadway requires at least 24-hour notice for reservation cancellations. The failure to properly cancel a reservation within the required 24-hour period will result in a service fee of $25 per person.

Menu

The menu at Nick's on Broadway consists of an assortment of eclectic menu items that are prepared with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to ensure that customers are receiving the best food possible. Much effort is given to the preparation of all food items to ensure that guests have a stellar dining experience. Nick's on Broadway is also very willing to accommodate various dietary needs. The following are some of the menu options offered.

· Brunch - Savory small plates: fish or pate and toast, hummus, Rhode Island tomatoes and toast; sides and snacks: house-made pickles, home-fried potatoes, sautéed summer veggies, chicken sage and maple sausage, naturally smoked bacon; entrees: black beans and eggs, chicken or fish tartine, eggs Benedict, veggies and eggs; classics: frittata, omelet, parfait, yogurt and granola, hotcakes, French toast, and more.

· Dinner - Tasting menu (four courses), starters: salad, soup, cheese plate and oysters on a half-shell; main courses: lime-roasted Point Judith fish filet, herb-roasted Baffoni Farm chicken, chargrilled Blackbird Farm Berkshire pork; sides: house-pickled vegetables, Geer Farm field pea, white bean and roasted beetroot hummus, wilted greens and toasted whole grains, pesto-chargrilled rustic bread, and more.

· Wine and Beer - Draft, bottled, light and non-alcoholic beers; an assortment of red, white, sparkling, rose, dessert, and cheese wines offered by the glass or bottle.
