There are six types of rooms and cottages. The Classic Queen offers a queen sized bed inside a well-lit renovated room that has a private patio or outdoor deck looking out on the garden. The Classic King offers a more spacious room with luxurious furnishings to complement the king sized bed, and this room also offers a beautiful garden view.

The Garden Cottage Guest Room is an enchanting bedroom with a king sized bed, a yellow and gold palette and tasteful artwork, and some spacious patios outside. Top it all off with granite tiled bathrooms and vanities. The cottage has a very rustic flair to it.

The Deluxe Ranch, on the other hand, is a fully furnished guestroom with a king sized bed, a modern bathroom, a workspace, and a spacious patio. It is like a modern alternative to the Garden Cottage Guest Room.

For something more spacious, the Premier Ranch offers a guestroom that has a king sized bed, chaise lounge, modern bathroom, premium shower, workstation, and fireplace. The patio also offers a view of the gardens and courtyards. For oversized tubs fit for luxurious soaks, the Magnolia Cottage Guest Room features a spacious granite tiled bathroom. The patio is romantic and private with lounge chairs, a canopy of greenery, and a gas fireplace. Guests here will be tucked away in a secluded area of the hotel, which is ideal for those looking for a more private and premium room experience.

There are three types of suites. The Deluxe One Bedroom Suite comes with an oversized bathroom and a living room with a fireplace. It also has a kitchen and a mini refrigerator, as well as a private patio overlooking the gardens. The Classic Two Bedroom Cottage is a private retreat that was once the home of famous architect Lillian Rice, who contributed to the design of various structures at Rancho Santa Fe as well as the inn itself. The suite is cosy and comes with a fireplace, a dining room, and an elegant living room with lots of bookshelves and art. Finally, the Premier One Bedroom Cottage is the largest of all the one bedroom suites, at approximately 1,600 sq. ft. It comes complete with a kitchen and a living area that has a fireplace. The cottage has two patios ideal for soaking up some sun. This is great for extended stays with family and friends.
