The CavalliBeach House Retreat is situated right on the beachfront on the eastern coast of Kaeo in Northland on the Northern Island of New Zealand. While seemingly remote (a four-hour drive or a thirty-minute flight from Auckland), the Retreat is just a short drive from the world-renowned Kauri Cliffs Golf Course and within an hour of the Bay of Islands, which is known for its untouched beaches, big-game fishing, and rich Maori heritage.
The Bay of Islands is an exquisite enclave of the North Island encompassing more than 140 subtropical islands. The region is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches and best game fishing, as well as the 19th-century whaling port of Russell, the country’s first colonial capital and which still reflects a bygone era in its glorious architecture and charming vibe. Other exciting activities to enjoy in and around The Bay of Islands range from exploring the boutique towns of Paihia, Opua, and KeriKeri, or sea kayaking, sailing, snorkeling or cruising around the islands, which are home to an array of marine wildlife such as dolphins, penguins, and whales.
