Located on 44 acres of dense woods in Nassau County, Long Island, New York Battle Row Campground has 64 campsites that range in length from 40 to 45 feet and accommodates both RVs and tents. There is a comfort station with restrooms and private showers. The campground is fun place for the whole family. It has kiddy park with swings, a sport field, a softball field, and rally field for group camping as well as for tent and overflow campsites. It is a great spot for all sorts of club activities, concerts, parties and family celebrations. The Recreational Vehicle pads come with power and water hookups.

Beaver Pond Campground
The Beaver Pond Campground is located next to the Lake Welch Recreation Area and is part of the Harriman State Park, about 25 miles north of the George Washington Bridge. It is part of the Palisades Region of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. The campground has tent and trailer sites, together with the accommodations for larger vehicles. Each campsite includes a picnic table and a fire ring. Comfort stations with showers, laundry facilities, and a dumping station are also part of the campground. There is a protected swimming beach that can be used during the season when lifeguards are on duty. Beaver Pond Campground offers facilities for a range of activities including swimming, hiking and picnicking.

Blydenburgh County Park
Blydenburgh County park consists of about 600 acres of forests and meadows, stretching along the Nissequogue River. The park has 50 campsites suitable both for tents and trailers. There is a comfort station with shower and dump facilities and spacious picnic areas. Campers enjoy fishing and rowing on Stump Pond and exploring the historic mill district that includes the 1798 “New Mill”, the 1802 Miller’s House, the c.1860 Farm Cottage, and the c.1820 Blydenburgh Farmhouse. There is a playground for kids and an extensive hiking trail system that is connected to trails in neighboring Caleb Smith State Park Preserve. Dogs are allowed on leash.

Camp Edey
Camp Edey is girls-only camp spread over 95 acres on the scenic Sans Souci Lakes in Bayport, New York. The camp has two pools, an archery range, a large network of hiking trails, and even a frog-filled pond. The camp offers four different programs: Pixie Day Camp for girls ages between three and five, Journey to Adventure for girls Grades 1 to 6 and Teen-Ventures for Grades 7 to 9). Camper's Choice days offer campers opportunity to pick exciting activities from a special menu that includes arts and crafts, canoeing, paddle boating, swimming, Ga-Ga and more. Camp Gateway
Located in the woodland habitat of Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, New York, within the Gateway National Recreation Area, Camp Gateway is a tree-covered campground open from May to October. It offers an outdoor escape for the city folks that includes hiking, biking, birding and historic tours of airports and forts. There is a series of Ranger-led programs available all summer. The Campground offers tent and RV camping. Generators are allowed for a limited number hours at RV sites only. The campground includes a dump station. Gateway National Recreation Area covers 26,000 acres and includes diverse habitats such as woodlands, grasslands, sand dunes, beaches, salt marshes, ponds and forests. Campers can visit nearby Civil War-era forts, historic aircraft ad Nike missile sites, stroll along wooded paths, watch for birds and horseshoe crabs , ride horses, kayak and practice archery.

Cathedral Pines County Park
Spread over 320 acres along the headwaters of the Carmans River, Cathedral Pines is a County Park right next to Prosser Pines Nature Preserve. The park offers facilities that include campsites for individual campers, youth groups, clubs and families. It also includes 10 sites with water and electric hookups, a playground and opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and picnicking. Next to the park is Prosser Pines Nature Preserve which features a unique stand of white pines planted in 1812 and a six miles long mountain bike trail. The park is dog-friendly but dogs have to be on leash.

Cedar Point County Park
Cedar Point County Park is a 607-acre park in East Hampton, New York, on a peninsula just outside of historic Sag Harbor, with spectacular views of Gardiners Bay. The park is famous for its disused lighthouse. The shady, forested park offers camping for individuals and groups, boat rentals, picnic areas, surf fishing, nature trails, access to the mile-long beach and licensed hunting for waterfowl. It also has a freshwater lake, a playground, and walking trails. There is a general store with a snack bar that offer free Saturday-night family movies and recreational equipment. Scuba diving is possible at Northwest Harbor Beach, Gardiners Bay or near the lighthouse. The park is dog friendly, but they must be leashed.

Cliff and Ed's Campground
Cliff and Ed's Campground is a small privately owned park in Cutchogue, New York, established in the late 60s. It has 24 campsites and offers a full hookup including water, sewer and electric service on all sites. Campers can also subscribe for Optimum Cable during their stay, or they can rent a satellite dish. The campground has all modern facilities including a bathroom with showers and laundry room. All sites are level and paved. The park is open from April to October. Dogs are allowed on leash. Eastern Long Island Kampground
Eastern Long Island Kampground is the largest privately owned, family operated campground on Long Island. It has 186 sites for tents and RVs, 101 with a full hook-up. The campground has picnic tables, grill, toilets, dump, laundry, RV Storage, firewood and internet. It is pet friendly but dogs have to be leashed. This beautiful family-friendly campground has a fully equipped kiddy playground and a swimming pool in season. It also offers a range of activities for kids such as fire truck rides; tractor hay rides, and tractor train rides. There is a DJ on Saturday nights. The campground is opened from May 3 to November 3.

Hayground Camp
Hayground Camp was founded in 1996 to be a fundraising arm for Hayground School, a small private school in Bridgehampton, New York. Hayground Camp can accommodate 350 campers with 150 counselors and a number of visitors such as chefs, musicians, coaches, chess masters, choreographers, studio artists and naturalists. They all get together for a summer of adventure, exploration and memorable experiences. Heckscher State Park
Heckscher State Park is located on the shore of the Great South Bay at East Islip in Suffolk County. The 1,657-acre park includes the former 19th-century estates of George C. Taylor and J. Neal Plum. The park officially opened in February 1929. It includes a beach pavilions with picnic tables and benches, a kids’ playground, athletic fields and a disc golf course. The park is a popular destination for hiking, biking, fishing, cross-country skiing and boating. It also includes the Heckscher Forest, a disc golf course established in the summer of 2014. The park used to have a campground with tent and trailer sites and a Olympic-sized swimming pool, but they are now closed.

Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds
The Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds have been established in 1953 as a children summer camp. It started with three locations, to grow to 14 camps that serve families from all over New York City, Long Island, and Rockland and Westchester counties, together covering 500 acres of land dedicated to the total outdoor experience only a camp in the country can provide. Each site has swimming complexes with total of eleven swimming pools, multi-use fields and large clearings that can handle a diverse team sports such as soccer, kickball, field hockey, lacrosse, softball and a range of group games. The grounds include over 100 buildings and a network of roads and hiking trails, boating ponds, playgrounds and specialty areas unique to each camp.

Hither Hills Campground
Hither Hills State Park is located in Montauk, New York, about 122 miles from Manhattan. The park includes scenic picnic areas with fire pits, a two-mile long sandy ocean beach, a 40-acre freshwater lake, athletic fields, a kids’ playground and a 190-site campground on the ocean. The campground has showers, restrooms, a dump station, and a general store. The campground offers a range of social activities such as movie nights, sand castle building competitions, arts and crafts, and swimming. Anglers can fish year-round. Indian Island Park
Indian Island County Park is located on 275 acres at the estuary of the Peconic River, in Riverhead, New York. The campground for 100 tents and trailers is open to individuals and camping club. There are restrooms and showers facilities. The park has one of the best picnicking areas in Suffolk County, offering picnic tables, benches, grills and spectacular views of Flanders Bay, playgrounds and hiking trails. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed. A short trail leads from the campground to the lovely sandy beach on the Flanders Bay.

Montauk Point State Park
Montauk Point State Park is a 862-acre park in Montauk, at the eastern end of Long Island in the Town of East Hampton, Suffolk County, New York. The park is home to the Montauk Point Light, which was completed on November 5, 1796. The lighthouse and Camp Hero were heavily fortified during World War I and World War II. The fort gun emplacements and concrete bunkers are still visible. Montauk Point State Park offers picnic tables, playground, a food concession, fishing, seasonal hunting, and numerous hiking and cross-country skiing trails. The park offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Block Island Sound. Visitors can watch the seals sun on the rocks offshore.

Nickerson Beach Park
Located on Long Island’s South Shore, between Long Beach and Lido Beach and Point Lookout, the 121-acre Nickerson Beach Park offers a campsite surrounded by protected sandy beach. The campground has 74 RV sites and 13 tent sites. There are also popular cabanas. The park offers its guests a swimming pool, skateboard park, picnic area, kids’ playgrounds, concession stand, and grills. There are also sewer and electric hook-ups. The beach is located about half mile from the Atlantic Ocean, accessible via a long wooden boardwalk.

Nickerson Beach Campground
Nickerson Beach Campground is a 74-site RV park between Long Beach and Point Lookout managed by the county. The camping sites are back-in only and have full hookups. There are no amenities and no wi-fi. There is no cable, but individual antennas can get local TV. Each site has a picnic table. There are no fire pits but guests can use their own wood burning or propane grill. The sites are spacious but there is absolutely no shade. The campground is located next to the sand dunes that provide access to the ocean about a 1/4 mile away. There is a family "Fun Zone" perfect for kids, featuring a state-of-the-art playground, basketball and volleyball courts, a baseball field and a skate park. Robert Moses State Park
Robert Moses State Park is a 2,322-acre park located on Barnhart Island in the Saint Lawrence River near the Town of Massena in St. Lawrence County, New York. Smith Point County Park Campground
Smith Point County Park is a beachfront park on the Atlantic Ocean on barrier Fire Island, near Shirley, New York, on the central south shore of Long Island. It is the largest park in Suffolk County. The park has wonderful white sandy beach and is a haven for surfers and beach lovers. Smith Point’s campground has more than 270 trailer sites. All sites have water, and most have electric hookups and sewers. The campground includes a playground, fire pits, grills, and a camp store. There is also a beach restaurant and a protected beach area. Outer-beach camping is possible on a first-come, first-served basis. The campground is very popular so reservations are required. Special events are organized throughout the summer. There are parts of the beach fenced to protect nest of shore birds.

Southaven County Park Campground
Southaven County Park is a popular park located in Shirley, New York, with the Carmans River flowing through and pine oak forest providing shade in the hot summer months. Southaven is a popular destination for fishing, row boating, horseback riding and camping. The 1,323-acre campground can accommodate 104 tents and trailers, has showers and dump station and has a wonderful picnic areas that can accommodate up to 1,000 people. Wildwood State Park
The 600-acre Wildwood State Park consists mostly of undeveloped hardwood forest that end up on the high bluff overlooking Long Island Sound. Wildwood State Park campground has two miles of sandy beach for swimming. It offers full electric hookups, showers, restrooms, grills, water and sewer hookups and picnic areas with picnic tables and benches. Movies are shown to the guests during the summer. There is also line or square dancing in the evenings once a week. The park is a popular destination for fishing, hiking, sand volleyball, playing baseball or softball. Watch Hill Campground
Watch Hill is a campground and marina on Fire Island, a barrier island off the south shore of Long Island, New York. The park is located within the Fire Island National Seashore, just across the Great South Bay. The park offers a range of outdoor activities, from ocean swimming to back country hiking and bird watching. Watch Hill has a marina, a small store, tiki bar, snack bar, Whalehouse Point Restaurant and Bar, nature trail, visitor center, and beaches that have lifeguards in season.
