Vers is an upscale Cape Cod restaurant that derives its name from a Dutch word meaning fresh. True to its name, the restaurant serves fresh dishes made from locally sourced, fresh, and organic ingredients. The restaurant is owned and managed by husband-and-wife duo Jonathan Haffmans – Executive Chef – and Karen Haffmans. Chef Jeremiah Reardon uses a mixture of traditional and contemporary cooking styles.

This family-run restaurant works in close relation with local farmers and fishermen so you can expect to find a seasonal menu featured in the restaurant’s food list. Vers is open for dinner service six days a week. Days and hours of operation are as follows:

Monday-Saturday: 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Sundays: CLOSED


Reservations can be made online via OpenTable or by contacting Vers directly by calling 774-561-2185. All reservations will be held for up to 15 minutes after the designated reservation time. Patrons that are running late beyond the 15 minute grace period are advised to contact Vers directly to see if accommodations can be made.

Vers offers a complete dinner menu that features fresh seafood options as well as a variety of delectable main courses, decadent desserts and tasting menus that allow customers to sample a variety of menu items. The menu is subject to change to ensure that only the best seasonal ingredients are used. The menu offerings at Vers are as follows:

  • Raw Bar-The raw bar consists of both local oysters and littleneck clams.
  • Soups and Salads-Options include Tuscan tomato soup, baby arugula salad, lime salt cured salmon salad and a Vers vegetable garden salad.
  • Appetizers-Several appetizers are available such as tuna and steak tartare, scallop carpaccio, octopus serrano, lobster ceviche, pan seared foie gras and charcuterie for two.
  • Main Courses-Rib eye steak, green market risotto, Hudson Valley duck, diver scallop, Atlantic monkfish, local skate wing and short rib gnocchi.
  • Desserts-Decadent desserts include ice cream and sorbet, truth or dare, artisan cheese board, tiramisu, shortcake and chocolate.
  • Tasting Menus-Vers offers four and eight course tastings that feature local and seasonal ingredients. Patrons have the option of adding a supplemental wine pairing for at an additional cost.
