Winter:

Winters at the resort is a magical time at the ski lodge. With a spectacular view of the historic Mississippi River Valley, the resort and lodge offer 19 different ski slopes and trails for snowboarders and is open for guests from Thanksgiving through Saint Patrick’s Day. The mountain has a steep 475-foot vertical drop and multiple 3500-foot ski slopes. There is also a seven-acre terrain park (Far Side), which is the biggest of its type in the entire Midwest region.

There is a complete map of the trails and decide whether to take on a beginning course, an advance course, or even a freestyle course. If guests are not sure where their skill level is or if it has been awhile since they have skied or snowboarded, it is recommended that they start out on one of the beginner slopes (Bunny, Acorn, Old Main, or Rookie Ridge). More advanced guests can try their hand at Black Diamond! There are also multiple skiing and snowboarding lessons offered, and a full ski slope condition report on their website to check out the conditions prior to a visit. Younger visitors can take part in one of the children’s programs, designed to help kids become more comfortable on the slopes. Powder Pups is a great place for any young visitor to start developing their skills. Check the website so available dates, times, and costs.

Summer:

Summers offer different but equally as exciting adventures, both indoors and outdoors! Check out the 2050-foot Alpine Slide, a tailored track with a sled guests ride on that offers an adrenaline rush like no other! There is also a zipline (the Soaring Eagle - check the website for guidelines and height and age requirements prior to booking), tours by Segway, a river cruise (lasting 1.5 hours and cruising down the scenic Mississippi River), both disc golf (9 holes) and miniature golf courses (with 18 holes), and bike rentals (available half or full days).
