The Westin Kierland Resort boasts 735 guest rooms and suites which feature the Westin signature “Heavenly Bed” plus the White Tea by Westin amenities. Each of the rooms boasts a private patio or terrace as well, with either golf course views or stunning views of the mountains. There are several room categories to select from, each ranging in size and added amenities.

Traditional Rooms are 426 square feet in size with a king size bed or two double beds and a private bathroom. These are perfect for those looking budget-friendly elegance. Deluxe Rooms have the same features except their private balconies provide a view.

Junior Suites have a little more space, with just over 600 square feet and can be reserved with either a king size bed or two doubles. There is a sitting area with comfortable chairs and an ottoman as well as a sofa bed.

Parlour Suites are large and spacious with 854 square feet of space to stretch out. There is one separate bedroom for added privacy, with a king size bed and separate living room area boasting French doors and high end furnishings including a sofa bed. Guests will also love the armoire complete with a wet bar.

Executive Suites are available in two configurations. Guests can opt for the 854 square foot layout with one bedroom featuring a king size bed or two doubles plus a parlour with a Murphy bed or the 1281 square foot floorplan with two bedrooms. The two bedroom suite has one king size bed, two doubles and a parlour with a Murphy bed. There are also two or three bathrooms depending on the suite.

Corner Suites are exactly as the name suggests, a suite located in the corners of the building. They are either 1280 square feet with one bedroom and two bathrooms or just over 1700 square feet with two bedrooms and three bedrooms. These suites come with a kitchenette, perfect for making small meals or snacks plus an oversized living room with sofa bed. There is a dining table with seating for up to four guests to gather.

Casita Suites are set away from the main resort in smaller buildings near the pool and lazy river, making these suites ideal for larger groups or families traveling together. They are between 816 and 1225 square feet and available with both one and two bedroom floorplans. They boast a gas fireplace in the large living room and a breakfast bar for two. Guests can store their drinks and perishables in the included refrigerator.

Presidential Suites are available in two configurations. The one bedroom option is just over 1700 square feet and boasts two bathrooms and one king or two double beds. The two bedroom version is 2135 square feet in space and has three bathrooms, with the Master bath boasting a Roman-style bathtub. There is a dining table for up to eight guests and a large private terrace with views of both the golf course and mountain range. The extra-large living room is perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring and adventure with plenty of seating and ottomans.

There are several dining options at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. Guests will enjoy the culinary delights that await them as well as may of the healthy menu selections geared towards helping people eat less trans fats and more whole foods.

Deseo is one of the on-site restaurants which serves traditional Latino American ingredients cooked in a contemporary American style to give guests a flavor of Nuevo Latino flare. The word deseo in Spanish actually translates to “desire”, which is what the chefs aim to create with the mouth-watering menu. One of the highlights of Deseo is “The Rail” which features 12 seats where guests can sit and overlook the open kitchen to watch the magic happen. Guests will enjoy a three course dinner and have the opportunity to interact with chef, asking questions and getting tips for use in their own kitchens. Reservations are required to have seating at “the Rail”.

Nellie Cashman’s is another dining option, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve up a real taste of Arizona and feature different cuts of Arizona Prime as one of the highlights for dinner.

Brittlebush Bar & Grill is the perfect stop for a delectable lunch. They offer locally sourced ingredients in a pub-style atmosphere. The Brittlebush is offers a casual, laid back environment. Guests will enjoy lounging and relaxing by the rock fireplace and nibbling tasty selections such as soups, salads and tacos. They are located at the Kierland Golf Course on the resort property.

In addition to the restaurant options available, guests have access to 24 hour in-room dining. There is a vast selection for room service, including a kids menu and many healthy eating options for each meal.

Brittlebush Bar & Grill is a great meeting place to mingle with others and enjoy a brew or cocktail or even a glass of wine in a casual lodge-like setting. They pride themselves on their selection of imported beers, both draft and domestic as well as micro-brewed beers sourced locally. They even carry the resorts own label called “Piper’s Pale Ale”.

In keeping with their celebration and homage to Scottish culture, the Westin Kierland Resort features a Scotch Library. It is open daily from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the resort and offers guests the opportunity to not only taste the fine scotches and whiskeys from Scotland but to also learn. The Scotch Library has such a vast collection of whiskies and scotches that it represents more than half of the distilleries currently operating in Scotland. The Scotch Library Ambassadors are there to assist to guests in making selections to try and to also educate people about the different malts and blends. Every Friday evening guests can head to the Scotch Library for “An Evening of Scotches” where they can sample three selected Scotch whiskies and learn about the different flavors.

Agave, The Arizona Spa is located at The Westin Kierland Resort and offers rejuvenating, relaxing treatments which are inspired by practices from around the world but also traditional practices which have been passed on from many of Arizona’s native cultures. In keeping with its own name, many of the treatments include the use of the Agave plant, which is well-known for its moisturizing capabilities. This spa is very large, even featuring its very own courtyard and 20 treatment rooms to accommodate many guests. Guests can also enjoy the quiet lap pool. Also for guests use is a whirlpool, sauna and steam room. If guests wish to have their hair or nails done, there is a full service salon awaiting their arrival. Reservations are recommended to ensure availability.

The Westin Kierland Golf Club is unlike any other golf experience one has had in the past. Not only will guests of all skill levels enjoy a round of golf, but also have access to amazing amenities such as traveling the course via Segway or practicing their swing using Fore-MAX. There is also the option of climate-controlled golfing and even Scottish themed golf for those looking for a little more fun. If golfers prefer to get a little more exercise while enjoying their round of golf, they can also reserve the golf bikes to travel throughout the course, which have room on the back for a set of clubs. At the pro shop, they are happy to assist with fitting guests with the proper clubs for their particular needs. They do this by using ProFIT analysis which uses cameras and monitors to analyze which shaft, club heads, grip and even balls will be of the most benefit to the user.

After a round of golf, guests can visit the Brittlebush Bar & Grill for drinks and light meals.

Families will love staying at the Westin Kierland Resort, with so many fun activities and amenities geared towards children. The resort is happy to accommodate children of all ages, from the use of booster seats and cribs to supplying a short term supply of diapers and wipes until guests can get to the nearby store. Camp Kierland is designed to engage children from ages 4 to 9 and offers a daily fun activity or event such as cooking or surfing and exploring the resort. In the summer months, there is Digital Camp where children can learn about stop motion animation and how movies are made in general, or attend Surf camp where they will enjoy surf related activities and learn about body control while surfing at FlowRider.

FlowRider is the on-site boardsport simulator which allows riders at least 42” in height to bodyboard or flowboard. It is a unique, stimulating and exciting activity which kids and adults alike will enjoy and since it is only available to guests of the Westin, there won’t be heavy crowds.

The FlowRider is found within the resort’s Adventure Waterpark, which features a lazy river and also a 110 foot long waterslide. There is a play area as well as a shallow pool for the smaller children. Adults also have their own pool, near Agave, The Arizona Spa which they can lounge beside and enjoy a quiet moment. There are two hot tubs for ultimate relaxation and rest.

The OK Corral is located near the pool and is open 24 hours a day. It offers lawn chess, basketball, games to enjoy on the shaded tables. There is a fire pit where, on Friday and Saturday evenings, families can gather and enjoy S’mores and a delightful fire.

Weddings are done with elegance and charm at the Westin Kierland. The professional staff, along with top rated culinary members, will put together the most memorable day for each couple to meet their exact expectations and dreams. There are a few options for venues at the Westin, including outdoor patio space, a grand ballroom and adjoining cocktail space for greeting wedding guests. The setting is perfect with historic charm, mountain range and golf course views and romantic nights under the stars. Couples will be assigned their own personal Event Planner to see them through the process from beginning to end. Each wedding package includes a cake, printed menus, a complimentary dressing room for the bridal party, as well as overnight accommodations for the bride. There are many packages available for couples to choose from, each offering something a little different to cater to the needs of each couple.

Meetings at the Westin Kierland are always welcome, with over 41 meeting rooms accommodating groups of all sizes. The planning staff work with each meeting liaison to ensure the event goes off without a hitch. There are high-tech audio/visual amenities available for use during meetings or conferences, as well as catering options to feed the attendees of any group. There are packages available which include special pre-planned activities for the members of the group aside from just attending meetings, such as spa treatments or off-site exploration as a group. The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa is very pleased to be a part of an initiative of becoming “greener” instead of just “green”. They understand that being kind to the environment is an on-going process and not just a destination. Their green initiatives include things such as reducing waste, an extensive recycling program and reusing. If guests wish to participate in being “greener” during their visit, they are encouraged to let the front desk staff know and they will receive a $5 voucher for local restaurants or bars for each night they decline housekeeping services, not including departure day. This encourages less laundry and water use as well as wasted shampoo/conditioner and other room amenities.
