The Equinox Rooms & Suites

The Equinox Rooms & Suites

The Equinox boasts an impressive 45 rooms in three buildings that welcome guests with top notch amenities. There are the Dormy Suites, the Townhouses and 1811 house. Each offers its own brand of charm.

Dormy Suite

The Dormy Suite is a three bedroom, two storey hideaway found just off the first tee. Here guests may take in views of the golf course while breakfast is sizzling in the full kitchen. The unit also includes a living room with a wood burning fireplace and a grill on the private downstairs patio.

On the upper level, guests will find three bedrooms.

This includes one King Bedroom, on Queen Bedroom, and a Twin Trundle room. Ultimate relaxation is found in the oversized bathroom with the walk-in shower and mirrored whirlpool tub. Decked out in oversized chairs and a sofa, the living room creates an atmosphere with its slate floors while a stereo and flat screen television provide entertainment. There is also a half bath on the lower level.

In addition, the Dormy Jr. Suite is equipped with one bedroom and a plush Queen Bed on the upstairs level. Downstairs, guests will find an oversized bathroom and a living room with a sleeper sofa.

Townhomes

The 30 townhouses are found next to the main building of the hotel and come with a modernised look that exudes a South Breach in Vermont feel. Decked out in hues of green and brown, the townhouses feature new sofas and light fixtures by designer Mitchell Gold. Here the Bob Williams collection with its reclaimed floor wood, and side tables find a unique home. Adding to the décor are photos from local photographers that bring the outside, inside.

The Townhouses are divided into 10 suites and 20 standard guestrooms. The suites all have fireplaces, fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a sleeper couch.

1811 House

This is where history comes alive. The well-maintained country inn was once the home of Abraham Lincoln’s granddaughter. Here guests can stay in one of 13 guestrooms, each decked out with fireplaces, canopied beds and private porches. The rooms are individually decorated, and the antiquity is contrasted by modern amenities like flat screen televisions and wireless internet. Rooms have views of Manchester Village, as well as the garden.

Guests are also welcome at the cottage rooms where they can unwind in front of a wood burning fireplace and fine Oriental rug.

Dining at The Equinox

The Chop House is a steakhouse that emulates the feel of hunter’s lodge. The heavy wood tables welcome oversized steak house meals that are complemented by the masculine tone of the Orvis stone heart dating back to 1832.

Found in the first building constructed at The Equinox, Marsh Tavern is a celebrated restaurant. Here guests dine on delectable lunches and regional dinners, or they can simply unwind in the Tavern Lounge with a cocktail. The restaurant also has outdoor seating.

Arguably the most elegant of the dining options at The Equinox, the Colonnade exudes grand country dining appeal. Seasonal buffets are served here, and mornings are met with an extensive menu boasting favourites like the Mountain Man Breakfast, Eggs Benedict and, of course, classic Belgian Waffles. There is also an attached library where guests may enjoy a free hot drink.

Dormy Grill is perfect for a quick bite. Situated on the deck of the Equinox Golf Club clubhouse, the grill has expansive views of the Green Mountains. Enjoy a lunch here while waiting for a family member or two to finish their round of golf.

Found inside the clubhouse, Woody’s Bar is where guests can chill out with and Equinox Ale among many other beverages.

Boasting dark wood panelling, leather stools and an array of armchairs, the informal tone of The Falcon Bar welcomes customers to taste over 30 wines and single-malt scotches. Head through the large French doors and gather around the open-air fire pit on the deck. There is also a selection of chocolates and cheeses to snack on.
