From rental houses to hotel rooms and suites, Sunriver Resort is able to host large groups, couples, and families, and has a number of pet friendly lodgings. All guests of the resort have complimentary access to the health spa and its fitness club, exclusive access to the award-winning 18-hole Crosswater Golf Course and to its nine-hole, family-oriented Caldera Springs Course, discounts on recreational outings, and access to the pools and hot tubs that dot the property.

Sunriver Vacation Rentals offer the use of a private home, condo, or cabin, each of them tastefully decorated and beautifully furnished. This group of lodgings have fully equipped kitchens, a TV, DVD player, and stereo, professionally-laundered high quality linens, a fireplace, a gas barbecue, and a washer and dryer. Many of the Sunriver Vacation Rentals include an outdoor hot tub, and all of them have decks and backyards. Complimentary wireless internet is available in these homes. The Sunriver Vacation Rentals vary in size and configuration; some are suitable for one or two couples, while others can accommodate larger groups.

Sunriver Lodge Village is made up of hotel rooms and suites. The rooms have either one king or two double beds, a stone gas fireplace, a private deck, free wireless internet, a hairdryer, coffee maker, and an iron. ADA-certified rooms are available for the disabled. Sunriver Lodge suites are large, with an upstairs loft containing one king or two queen beds; other guests may sleep on the queen pullout sofa in the living room. Suites have kitchenettes, with a stovetop, small fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, a dining room and living room, and two full bathrooms. Accessible suites are available. Some suites and rooms are pet friendly, and pet sitters and a nearby day kennel can help take care of animals while the family is using lodge facilities.

Sunriver River Lodge is home to luxury guestrooms. They have all the amenities of the hotel suites, with the addition of upscale furniture and linens, down comforters, a huge bathroom with a twin vanity, a shower, and a deep soaking tub, a stone gas fireplace, and a private deck with Adirondack chairs. The work desk has a two-line telephone, and a cordless phone is set by the bedside.

There is a wide variety of dining options at Sunriver Resort, from pub food to fine dining, to poolside treats.

Carson’s American Kitchen is a casual, lively eatery serving American food, and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Beautiful views out of enormous windows are a major attraction of this airy, high-ceilinged restaurant. Menus change seasonally, and highlight excellent steak and seafood.

The Grille at Crosswater is a fine dining restaurant serving New American cuisine using the freshest and finest local ingredients. Open for lunch, happy hour, and dinner, the restaurant’s Northwestern décor gives a homey feel. Steak, seafood, and an array of delicious salads are the stars of The Grille’s varied menu.

The Twisted River Tavern offers great food, great drinks, and sublime views. Its menu consists of pub food, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, and vegetarian curry. Guests indulging in the Twister River Tavern’s signature cocktails and wide selection of Northwestern craft beers can relax on the patio, and enjoy live music in a child-friendly environment where even the family dog is welcome.

Zeppa Bistro overlooks the blue of Obsidian Lake and the peaks of Mount Bachelor. On its dog-friendly patio, guests can feast on wood-fired pizza, Paninis, and salads.

The Merchant Trader is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and looks out on meadows and the mountains. This eatery is a great place for sandwiches, fresh baked goods, fresh fruit, and steel-cut oatmeal.

The Backyard overlooks the Meadows Golf Course, and serves pub food in a dog-friendly environment, with live music on the side.

Next to The Cove swimming pool is where guests will find The Spotted Dog, which serves treats and healthy food in equal measure. Here guests can eat veggies and dip, nachos with all the fixings, sweet potato fries, salads, sandwiches, and wraps. For a special treat, The Spotted Dog offers soft-serve ice cream and frozen candy bars.

Sunriver Resort has four award-winning golf courses, and a total of 63 holes. Crosswater meanders along the shores of the Deschutes and Little Deschutes Rivers, and contains seven water hazards.

Golfers will appreciate both the challenge of the course, and the serene woodlands and wetlands they play through. The Meadows borders Sun River, and is a graceful and difficult course. The Woodlands is gorgeously set in towering pine forests, and play takes place through the trees, across lava rocks, and alongside the water.

Caldera Links is a family-friendly nine-hole course, and is an ideal location for teaching youngsters how to golf. Holes range from 60-185 yards, and can also be used to polish up adult swings.

The Sage Springs Club and Spa is open to all resort guests, and offers soothing treatments and a fitness center. The fitness area has a weight room, a full complement of elliptical trainers, treadmills, and upright and recumbent bikes. Tennis buffs can play on one of the three indoor courts or the four outdoors; lessons are available for all levels of play.

Swimmers can stay fit in the indoor three-lane lap pool. There are a variety of group classes at the Sage Springs Club, including yoga, Pilates, interval training, cycling, boot camps, and water fitness. A unique offering is a paddle board yoga class out on the lake. After a workout, the club’s steam rooms are an ideal way to relax.

The Sage Inn Spa offers massage, facials, body treatments, and has a full-service salon that provides hair services, manicures and pedicures, waxing, and makeup artistry.

Guests can enjoy their usual massage at the spa: Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic massages are all on its menu. The spa does have some creative alternatives, including a Sports Enthusiast massage designed to increase the athlete’s range of motion. The Abhyanga Massage uses ancient techniques to bring about deep relaxation; it uses warm oil and is choreographed.

At the Sage Inn Spa guests will encounter a variety of signature facials to provide for every skin type. The Stonecrop Pore Relief Facial uses the succulent stonecrop plant to deeply cleanse the skin and clear up even the most difficult complexion. The Organic Grape Stem Cell Facial utilizes grape stem cells to target aging skin and promote skin cell regeneration. The Goddess Facial is the ultimate treatment for skin in need of repair and renewal. It consists of a double exfoliation, treatment masks, hydration, repair serums, and a scalp, neck, and shoulder massage.

Blissful body treatments at The Sage Inn Spa involve a variety of scrubs to exfoliate and cleanse the skin of the whole body. Using coconut, lavender, sage, or apricot, the sugary consistency deep cleans, while the enchanting aromas soothe the soul and relax the mind.

There is so much to do at Sunriver Resort. Golf, fitness classes, tennis, and swimming are only the tip of the iceberg. Wedding packages are available, and include a stay in a honeymoon suite, linens, candles, the use of special wedding china and fine flatware, professional service staff, bartenders, cake cutting and serving, and expert catering services. A variety of wedding menus exists and can be customized.

Wedding venues exist for groups large or small. The cozy Fireside Room seats 30. The Great Hall, with its stone fireplaces and exposed beams, can hold up to 300 guests. The Homestead, with its Pacific Northwestern décor, holds 400 people. On The Homestead’s lawn, overlooking the golf greens and Little Sun River, 200 guests can be accommodated. The Great Hall’s courtyard has a wedding tent and a capacity of 100 guests.
