Founded in 2001 by Lucille Hlavenka and her husband George, Lucille’s Mountain Top Inn & Spa is warm and welcoming with distinct American Arts and Crafts style influences throughout, such as dark wood paneling, angular stained glass light fixtures, etched window panes and a grand staircase. On entering the Inn, the words cozy and comfortable spring to mind, creating an inviting home-away-from-home ambiance.

Lucille’s Mountain Top Inn & Spa features 12 spacious and contemporary guest rooms with private bathrooms and beautiful décor with unique touches, like handmade quilts and comforters, luxurious Turkish cotton towels and bathrobes, custom bath products and fresh flowers. Guest rooms range from Mountain and Valley View Rooms to Main Level Rooms and Luxury Mountain Suites, however, all guest rooms enjoy standard amenities, including flat-screen televisions with satellite channels and BluRay or DVD players, individual climate control, and ceiling fans, bottled water and sodas, electric chargers and complimentary wireless Internet. Most rooms have work desks and all private bathrooms feature luxury Turkish cotton towels, plush bathrobes, hair dryers and Thymes bath products.

Mountain View Rooms can be found at the back of the Inn building and enjoy spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. These rooms feature king-size beds with lovely handmade quilts and comforters, modern translucent fireplaces and private bathrooms with dual showers, whirlpool tubs, luxury Turkish cotton towels, plush bathrobes, hair dryers and Thymes bath products. Modern amenities include flat-screen televisions with premium channels and BluRay or DVD players, individual climate control, and ceiling fans, bottled water and sodas, electric chargers and complimentary wireless Internet.

Valley View Rooms are located on the front side of the building and boast beautiful views of the Sautee and Nacoochee Valleys. These sunny rooms feature king-size beds with lovely handmade quilts and comforters and spacious seating areas with sofas and freestanding electric fireplaces. Private bathrooms have walk-in showers with dual shower heads, luxury Turkish cotton towels, plush bathrobes, hair dryers and Thymes bath products and modern amenities include flat-screen televisions with satellite channels and BluRay or DVD players, individual climate control and ceiling fans, bottled water and sodas, electric chargers and complimentary wireless Internet.

The Main Level Rooms are the largest rooms at the Inn with high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the exquisitely manicured gazebo garden and koi pond. These handicap accessible rooms feature one king and one queen-size bed, respectively, both dressed with gorgeous handmade linens and soft pillows. Private bathrooms with walk-in showers with skylights, luxury Turkish cotton towels, plush bathrobes, hair dryers and Thymes bath products, and French doors open onto the garden and fish pond. Modern amenities include flat-screen televisions with satellite channels and BluRay or DVD players, individual climate control, and ceiling fans, bottled water and sodas, electric chargers and complimentary wireless Internet.

The Mountain Suite is spacious and charming and features an enclosed porch with spectacular mountain views. This suite features a separate bedroom with a king-size bed dressed with handmade quilts and comforters and a private bathroom with a luxurious bubble massage tub, outdoor ‘rain-can’ shower, luxury Turkish cotton towels, plush bathrobes, hair dryers and Thymes bath products. A large living room has plush sofas, a translucent fireplace, fully-stocked wet bar and comfortable seating, along with a flat screen television with satellite channels and BluRay player in both the lounge and bedroom. Other amenities include individual climate control and ceiling fans, bottled water and sodas, electric chargers and complimentary wireless Internet.

A complimentary full gourmet breakfast is served every morning in the charming breakfast room which looks out over the valley. The delicious breakfast menu features a variety of hot and cold selections prepared and created from ingredients from local farms, farmer’s markets and artisan producers in the area. Served on fine china, breakfast delights include buttermilk pancakes, breakfast bread, strawberry scones, and hearty egg dishes like zucchini frittata. Add to that Greek yogurt, honey fig muffins, Vermont maple sausages and smoked bacon along with freshly squeezed fruit juices, coffee, and teas, and you have nothing less than a feast. Guests can dine in the sunny breakfast room or on the back porch in the summer months and soak up the views.

Evenings are given over to desserts, and a sweet treat is included in the stay, ranging from homemade cakes and cookies to chocolate bars and strawberry cheesecake. The Inn also serves a range of fine wines, French champagnes, and craft beers by the bottle or the glass, which can be enjoyed on the back porch as the sun sets.

Open to the public, as well as overnight guests of the Inn, The Spa at Lucille’s specializes in traditional and custom treatments to energize and refresh body and soul.

Connected to the inn by a covered walkway, the Spa is designed to reflect the soft green and golden hues of the surrounding landscapes and offers the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking or mountain biking one of the many trails in the area. has an extensive spa menu featuring massages, body treatments, skin care, facials and salon services, as well as signature services such as Dry Brush & Aromatherapy Massage, Agave Nectar Skin Softening Wrap, and Lucille’s Nourishing & Hydrating Facial.
