Golf Digest has rated the Pala Mesa Golf Course as one of the top ten golf courses in San Diego County. This course offers challenging fairways set in the midst of high desert surroundings lined with a variety of trees from oaks, pines, and sycamores. Natural slopes and curves are combined together to make a challenging course. Designed by William H. Johnson, this 18-hole, par-72 course is 6,502 yards with a rating of 71.9 and a slope of 128. Open year round, the course offers rental clubs and carts. Golf rates start as low as $29 for later afternoon tee times. Junior and Senior discounts are also available.

There is an abundance of activities in which to participate both on the Pala Mesa grounds and in the surrounding area. At Pala Mesa there is plenty to do, and you will find a swimming pool and Jacuzzi, kid's playground, tennis courts, driving range and golf clinics, and live music. The cordial staff will be happy to direct you to the activities of your choice.

In the area there are plenty of fun and exciting options. Enjoy some unique local finds like the annual Avacado Festival, the Palomares Park sculpture gardens, vintage car shows, summer concert series, and jazz and wine festivals. There are also several casinos in the area to try a game of luck.

Located in the surrounding cities are some of the big name venues and amusement parks. The famous San Diego Zoo is a must see. Specialty tours are also available for an additional price. Getting There

The San Diego International Airport is about 60 miles south of Pala Mesa. Rental cars are available at the airport, and you can take one of two scenic routes to get to the resort: the I-15 Scenic Corridor and the I-5 Coastal Highway. Either route will provide stunning views - dramatic vistas orbold, rocky seascapes. Other area airports are also close enough to make an easy connection.
